A Random Assortment of things I bought recently!
Dare I say a delusional blend of Parisian shopping and affordable alternative options.
First of all, forgive me lord for I have heavily sinned. Something took over me this March and it wasn’t just my joy for Spring, I’m talking the kind that leaves you blocking your husband.
Anyway, so March was my first Paris fashion week (that I attended as a quote on quote fashion person lol). Last Spring a trip with my partner coincided with PFW and it was fascinating. Let me tell you there is no better feeling than going from an onlooker, to being in that same moment having conversations with those same people you thought were just the coolest. Oh and 8/10 they are just as cool and charming as you expected, thankfully.
Onto the purchases, let’s start pre PFW as I believe this is where the problems started.
The Margaux
I was on and off about this bag for ages, my worries of its existence seemingly everywhere put me off right until I just gave in and did it. Approximately 8 hours after I gave in I walked out of The Row store with a black suede 15, giddy and grateful.
Safe to say this bag is a workhorse and a half, she carries everything. She’s survived travelling to Paris and back and everything in between, London grime and all. If you’re doubtful just do it.
Now I told you this was slightly delusional so hold on tight and we don’t judge over here. I had always been a 15 girl in my head, possibly a 17. Never a 10 - but I am shocked at how put together it makes me feel. The 15 is the cool older sister, reliable, relaxed and throws everything and anything in before she goes out the door. The 10 is the younger sister who is always on time, polished (don’t look inside my bag) and pristine.
On the subject of the Margaux bag, one of my favourite vintage designer sellers ‘The Vintage Marche’ has the most beautiful Margaux 15 in a burgundy, red wine colouring. Apparently going live on the 20th March at 12PM PST, so if I’ve peaked interested, get down there. I’m not usually a Chanel girl but the below Chanel clutches (especially the brown shade) have me spiralling.

When in Paris..
Was she born in a barn?

If the barn was made out of suede with leather panels? Yes, yes she was. I mentioned in an Instagram that if Nour Hammour was not on the body of every cool girl right now, it was on their lips. This barn jacket is solid evidence as to why. The figures? I do a size 38 for an oversized feel and wear basically for every occasion.
From the barn to the workshop…
Khaite denim has me in a perpetual chokehold and I first had a glance at this new style in September. I’ve basically been counting down since and when I tell you they didn’t disappoint. These are the Sowen Jean in Heath, I sized down to a 24.
Preppy For Spring

The idea of getting tax back, girl mathed me into trying a few pieces in The Row Paris store including the below Corzas Polo, Gala Pants and black tailoring.
The Polo I took in a small and wore too much after. However want my advice? Go with this one from Rohé which is virtually identical when it comes to the vibe, buuuuut actually is a wool blend so doesn’t crease as much as the cotton material from The Row.

The Gala Pants on the other hand, if you want to buy something you’ll never take off - get these. I wear my black ones religiously and my version of more colour is well…white. So voila.
The Black Trousers? Essentially sexy and chic but want an affordable option? Rohé is coming in to save us all and our cards.
Looking at a strangers lingerie right in the eye.

This Kolara dress was a purchase from Dover Street Market that I knew I’d wear over and over again, a complete classic. Wearing this dress by itself is more than enough, I also wore it layered underneath a grey sweater and a khaki trench, paired with ballet flats and the necklace. Getting into the idea of a ‘lace trim’ for spring, inspired by The Row. I tied the dress and the back and wore over my linen trousers and the same grey sweater.
To move past the tying issue, this is top of my wish-list.
However, something I’ll always go on about with The Row is that you don’t have to pay the price to get the aesthetic. Wear your nightie, buy a vintage one or grab something like this.
Oh and more Rohé, this delicious cami that is verging on my friend groups version of the jeans in Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants.
A New Category for Olivia
Heels, heels, heels. I’m having a YSL moment currently, the above campaign of Michelle Pfieffer is probably what triggered it but I want whatever she’s got. Warning! These are painful but I’m determined to break them in, plus they are just so pretty on.
Lipliners
I’m trying to enter my ‘sexy’ era. Not for any reason other than to feel sexy in and for myself. Nothing makes me feel better than applying this Rhode liner, or Saie liner or Merit liner in public. Top it all off with some lip balm ( this is great) and a dab of the finger to tone it all down.
This has been a little bit of a random assortment but I feel it reflects how i’ve felt recently - a little all over the place. Anyway coming soon is leopard and lots of it!
Au revoir!

Try bespoke from merit!
I'm normally not a mini girl, but Margaux 10 is too cute.
